All Souls’ Day is right around the corner, which means many of us will be visiting our dearly departed loved ones. We decided to make this post because we received a couple of inquiries regarding the best crystals to take when going to a cemetery.

Cemeteries are interesting spaces in that they have mostly been immune to commercial development. Despite modernization, most of us continue to respect its sacred nature and leave them largely undisturbed, preferring to grow our cities around them.

Every cemetery is different, but because it is considered by many to be a gateway of sorts between worlds, there is a risk of exposure to negative energies or entities you won’t want to take back home with you.

Below is a list of recommended crystals to protect your aura as you visit your dearly departed.

1. Black Tourmaline

A powerful stone for protecting you from destructive energies and malevolent entities. Not only does it act like a force field around you, it also has the ability to transmute negative energy into positive energy.

2. Black Jade

This stone emanates strong energies that clear your aura of vulnerabilities to attachments by negative forces and shields you from entities (and people) that drain your Light.
